The Architectette Podcast celebrates women who are shaping the built environment and redefining what it means to lead in architecture, design, and construction industries.
Each episode features candid conversations with professionals who are challenging industry norms, advancing innovative designs, and transforming communities.
From career highlights to the stories behind visionary projects, Architectette is your go-to space to learn, connect, and get inspired.
Our community is not just designing buildings — we’re building a better, more inclusive future.

In 2022, Caitlin worked remotely/ nomadically in a few different US cities before relocating to DC.
She greatly missed a local architecture community and was simultaneously onboarding remotely at a new company.
She tried to get to know her colleagues with 15-30 minute Zoom chats where she would “grab coffee” with a colleague and get to know them- both who they are professionally, but also personally. It was a great way to connect beyond my small project team.
She thought that these conversations, shared in a podcast format, might be an incredible opportunity to build community in a virtual environment.
That’s when the idea for the Architectette podcast was sparked!

There are many incredible “Women and Architecture” organizations out there, but we wanted Architectette to stand apart with its own distinct voice.
Inspired by the term Fullerettes, founder Caitlin Brady played with the suffix “-ette” on architect — and the podcast name was born!
While “-ette” is sometimes seen as diminutive, we proudly embrace its power, just like the bold legacy of suffragettes, Rockettes, and even brunettes!

Architectette features women-only voices because while nearly 50% of ARE candidates are women, only 21% hold top leadership roles.
By amplifying their stories, we provide exposure, mentorship, and inspiration — helping close that gap and empowering the next generation of women leaders.

New episodes drop 2x monthly on Mondays. We release episodes year-round with sporadic bonus episodes.

Podcasting is such a powerful medium — it lets you learn directly from our guests while experiencing the richness of their voices, the nuance of their tone, and the rhythm of their words. Hearing their stories in their own voices adds a depth, authenticity, and humanity that written profiles simply can’t capture.
