009: FIFTEEN: Ximena Valle, Mary Beth Di Figlia, and Jill Lavine on their Women-led Firm
On today's episode of Architectette we welcome three female founders of the Philadelphia firm, FIFTEEN Architecture and Design!
We chat with Ximena Valle, AIA, LEED AP; Mary Beth Di Figlia, RA; and Jill Lavine, AIA, LEED AP about founding the firm, manifesting their dreams, connecting their diverse backgrounds in architecture, design, construction, and archaeology; and how the act as leaders to bring positive change to their communities.
We talk about Ximena’s experience launching a firm shortly after having a baby, if Jill was or was not living the dream as an architect working on a skyscraper, and Mary Beth’s advice on networking and growing the firm’s work. Of course, we also talk about how FIFTEEN uniquely approaches trust and transparency and fosters a work environment that is especially inclusive for mothers.
